I realize that entering into therapy can be a difficult task. Opening up to a complete stranger is not easy. You may be concerned about being perceived as "abnormal" or be judged. I completely understand these concerns and do my best to make our meetings as comfortable as possible.
Trust is an important factor in therapy. You must be able to trust your therapist. Except for some legal exceptions (related to child abuse, elder abuse or threat of harm to yourself and/or others), what is discussed in therapy is completely confidential.
